FluentPlayer Integration ​

FluentPlayer lets you add tutorial, demo, or trailer videos to your FluentCart product gallery, right alongside your product images. Instead of linking out to YouTube or dropping in a raw iframe, FluentPlayer streams the video inline in the gallery with a fully branded player, so customers can preview a product without ever leaving the page.

You can add a video by pasting a URL from YouTube, Vimeo, or a direct video file, or by reusing a video you've already uploaded to another product. Once saved, the video shows up as a gallery item with full playback controls, including skip, volume, and fullscreen.

Videos are added from the same screen where you manage a product's images.

  1. Navigate to Products from the FluentCart dashboard menu.
  2. Open the product you want to add a video to.
  3. In the Media panel on the right, click Add Media.

This opens the Product Gallery modal, where you'll find three tabs: Gallery, Add by URL, and FluentPlayer.

Step 2: Adding a Video with FluentPlayer ​

Switch to the FluentPlayer tab to add a new video or reuse one you've already uploaded.

  1. Click the FluentPlayer tab.
  2. Under Add a video, paste a YouTube, Vimeo, audio, HLS, or direct video URL into the field. Alternatively, click the video icon next to the field to choose a file from your WordPress Media Library.
  3. Click Add Video.

FluentPlayer automatically detects the source and pulls in the video's title and poster image, so you don't have to fill those in by hand.

Reusing an Existing Video ​

If you've already added the same video to another product, you don't need to paste the URL again.

  1. Under Pick an existing FluentPlayer video, search by title or ID.
  2. Select the video from the results.
  3. Click Use Video.

Every video you add appears in a Videos list at the bottom of the FluentPlayer tab, showing its thumbnail, title, ID, and source. The tab label also shows a running count of videos already added to this product.

  1. Repeat Step 2 to add more videos.
  2. Use the pencil icon to edit a video's details, or the trash icon to remove it from the gallery.

Videos are saved as part of the product gallery. They're mixed in with your product images in the same order you add them.

  1. Click Save to add the video to the product gallery.

How to Verify the Integration ​

Once saved, preview the product on your storefront to confirm the video plays inline.

  1. Visit the product's page on your live store.
  2. Confirm the video appears in the main gallery frame with its poster image.
  3. Click play and check that the FluentPlayer controls (skip back/forward, volume, playback time, settings, and fullscreen) all work as expected.

Your product gallery now plays FluentPlayer videos inline, giving customers a richer preview before they buy.
